The St. Jude Half Marathon is part of a massive fundraising effort for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. All of the proceeds raised through these races go directly to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is unlike any other hospital in the world. They specialize in the treatment of childhood cancer and other catastrophic childhood diseases. The doctors, nurses, and researchers are all dedicated to providing the best possible care and developing cures for rare childhood diseases. And the best part is, no patient is expected to pay anything! The family pays exactly zero dollars for travel, housing, and medical care for their child - every single thing is covered by St. Jude.
